Improve Your Facial Contours With Facial Exercises

Do you believe that only surgery can improve your facial appearance? Think again. Surgery is not a surefire way to look better.
Surgical face lifts turn really ugly not only when the client ends up looking worse and not better after surgery. Scarring, bruising, swelling, bleeding, the risk of getting an infection and a strong reaction to anesthetics are just some of the more common side effects and risks. The worse ones include heart attack, pneumonia, nerve damage, stroke and blood clotting, most of which can lead to death.
Surgeries gone wrong are also well documented. The problem is that surgeons will only show you before and after photos of successful face lifts. Not all surgeons are equally talented and skilled. To save their reputation they will not tell you stories about their dissatisfied clients. They will talk to you only about those who were pleased with the results and did not suffer serious side effects.
For some people and medical and beauty experts, facial exercises don't work, basing their opinion on the mere fact that they've never tried them and don't intend to try them for themselves. Face exercises do build facial exercises muscles that will dramatically change the contours of your face. Just search the net for testimonials, or better yet, try them for yourself.
If you devote enough time to do face exercises each day you will be more than satisfied with the results you'll get in 2 to 4 weeks.
There are many face exercise programs out there but not all of them are created equally. Chose one that will not just teach you well designed face exercises but will provide you a holistic approach in treating specific face problems such as healthy diet and lifestyle tips.
Before you start following your facial exercise program take two snapshots of yourself, a close-up shot and a profile. You have to do this because looking in the mirror everyday may prevent you from noticing the changes taking place.
Take two new photos after two weeks and compare them with your 'before' photos. You will be impressed with the changes you're going to see. Now you have proof that exercises for the face do work!

Heart Exercise - What is the Secret Weapon For Longevity and Heart Health?

There are many studies that challenge the premise that prolonged and strenuous exercise is what promotes health, ideal fitness, and a stronger heart. This comes from a newer school of thought that says that the human body would gain much more from high-intensity (yet brief) duration exercises than with lengthy, regular, and low intensity exercises (American Journal of Physiology. Regulatory, Integrative & Comparative Physiology).
Why Is Exercise Not Popular?
Exercise is touted to be able to extend your life, improve the quality of living, and keep you young. Why then it is not as popular as it should be? People are overweight, continuously fighting some disease or other and inviting the risk of heart attack as early as mid-forties. Why are they not exercising and be rid of all these problems?
1. No time: we live in very demanding times where each one of us feels the need of an extension of the hours available in a day. Unfortunately, the number of hours is non-negotiable. Where is the extra time that you could use for exercising? 'Walk for 30 minutes every day', is a very common advice. However, no one tells you how you can squeeze in these 30 minutes when you are always sleeping at 2 AM in the morning trying to catch with various deadlines at work or home.
2. No strength: exercise is more needed as you suffer from the onslaught of age. Unfortunately, this is the time when your strength is not what it used to be and exercise rather crumples you up. Try starting aerobics at 48 and you will know what I mean. It is easier to give up on your rounding-up body and be philosophical about it, rather than gathering all your strength and adopting an exercising regime.
3. No motivation: it takes a long, long time to see any results even if you work yourself to near death every day. When you find that after three months your scales still do not make an appreciative move backwards, you rather lose hope in the applicability of exercise to your case.
So What Is The Solution?
Dr Al Sears, who researched this groundbreaking path for more than a decade, promotes a novel and highly effective method of controlling weight and maintaining exceptional health at any age. This method is based on the recognized fact that the high-intensity short-term period exercises are remarkably good for the health of your heart as well as promoting a loss of weight.
This research culminated in the birth of a weight-loss program called PACE or Progressively Accelerating Cardiopulmonary Exertion. This is a method by which you accelerate your heartbeat through highest-intensity exercises in small bursts with short breaks in-between. These exercises would be practiced for a maximum 20 minutes period every day.
The results of this new method of exercising have been incredibly positive. People adopting this type of heart exercise have not only eliminated completely the risk of heart attack, but also reversed heart disease and a number of other age related ailments. They became healthy and surprisingly younger looking and energetic.
Prof Maureen MacDonald of the Department of Kinesiology, McMaster University is all out for this type of heart exercise. She says, "We wouldn't be surprised to see more rehabilitation programs adopt this method of training since it is often better tolerated in diseased populations".
Times are changing - hopefully, you will go along with it and enjoy its benefits.

3 Secrets to Adding 1-4 Inches to Your Height Regardless of Your Age, Gender Or Current Height

There are a lot of misinformation circulating the internet about whether or not a person can grow taller after puberty. Today all of that will be cleared up! So sit down relax, and learn how you can grow taller naturally regardless of your age. Yes you read that correctly, you can increase your height after puberty and below you will find 3 tips on how to do so.
Secret Tip #1 - Stimulation Of The Human Growth Hormone (HGH)
This is one of the main component of a person growing taller. This is basically the hormone that is responsible for the growth of your cells and tissues and your overall body. The best way to enhance it's production is to engage in regular exercising, eating properly and getting enough rest.
Secret Tip #2 - Exercise
Engaging in proper 'grow taller exercises' is very important if you want to increase your height. However, not all exercises are created equally! Just as how a sprinter will do different workouts from a boxer, so too will you have to do targeted exercises that fits your goal. The main aim of these exercises is to stretch the spinal column and expand the inter-vertebral discs (the discs between each vertebrae that makes up the spinal column).
Secret Tip #3 - Get Enough Rest
This is the easiest thing to do. Just go to your bed on time! Don't bother to stay up all night and watch the television or play games or whatever. The reason is simple, when you sleep you release more growth hormones which is what makes you grow taller.

Stop Biting Nails - Do You Want Infections?

A child is said to be like a sponge when he / she is between the years of a few months till 10 years of age. Certain traits are picked up which include nail biting. If you or your child have picked up this dreadful addiction then read on. This article will look at how to stop biting nails and how you can get infections.
Here are just a few infections / diseases that you or your child can contract if they bite their nails.
1. Gingival Swelling: Gingiva is part of the tissue lining of the mouth. It is technically there to surround the teeth and surround it as a seal. Without it you can get a number of diseases like gingivitis. So you may ask what does nail biting have to do with this. Well nail biting actually erodes the Gingiva which eventually gets removed and leads to Gingivitis and bleeding of gums.
2. Pinworm: If you or your child are nail biters it is very easy to get pinworms. Pin worm eggs can be caught from a number of places and embed under the finger nails. When a person bites his nails and if there are pinworm eggs present under the nails then they will get digested which then leads to the eggs being hatched in the intestine. Pinworms then attach themselves to your intestine walls.
3. Breaking Skin: Biting of nail usually leads to the skin breaking. Now this will have two effects. It may start bleeding, which can be very painful. Or secondly, it could collect germs that will infect the area or you could also digest certain germs that could lead to some dreadful disease. It is imperative to stop biting nails otherwise you could catch some disease that you really do not want. If you are a parent as well you really need to watch out for your children and make sure that they stop biting their nails.
Looking at the severity of the number of diseases that you can get we really need to find a way to stop biting nails. As long as you or your child do so, the chances of getting infected with some disease or another are greater.
Harold Biggs was a nail biter some years back. He quit the habit after 21 years of biting his nails. During his years of addiction he managed to get really sick thanks to this addiction.

Energy Meridian Tapping - Unleash the Healing in Your Fingertips

If you are unfamiliar with the self-healing modality known as EMT or Energy Meridian Tapping than the title of this article may seem a bit odd. Nevertheless, there is profound truth woven between those nine simple words and I invite you to suspend any disbelief, each and every time it pops into your consciousness, as you read further.
Energy Meridian Tapping is but one of the vernacular descriptions used today when referring to the variety of Meridian Tapping Techniques being utilized by medical professionals and everyday people, everywhere around the world, 24/7.
The following descriptions depict a few of the popular tapping techniques: EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques; TAT - Tappas Acupressure Technique; GTT - The Getting Thru Techniques; THM - Transformational Healing Method plus many more innovative energy healing approaches that are too many to mention in this article.
So what is energy meridian tapping? Simply put it's a modern day version of Chinese acupuncture but without the needles and the discomfort associated with them. The beauty of EMT is best explained with the following facts:
  • Everyone can learn to do it, even children.
  • It is very easy to learn.
  • You will be dumbfounded by how silly it looks.
  • However, once you experience first-hand how rapidly it works... you won't give a care about how it looks!
  • You do not have to purchase any tools or equipment.
  • What you need is literally in your fingertips!
  • Its use is only limited by your imagination and, lastly...
  • You will be amazed by its simplicity, astounded by its ease of implementation and astonished by the healing results you reap!
Energy Meridian Tapping modalities are built upon the premise that all negative emotions create a disruption within the body's energy meridian system. In other words, when we experience any form of negativity, regardless of its intensity, the flow of energy traveling through our body is blocked. This energy is known as "Qi" or "Chi" in Chinese, "Prana" in Sanskrit and "Mana" or "Ki "in Hawaiian. In Chinese Medicine, the body's disrupted, unbalance and blocked energy is believed to be the primary cause of all disease.
Modern medical research currently being conducted in the Energy Medicine genre has begun to substantiate what the Chinese and Eastern cultures have known for centuries. Western scientists have begun to attribute many of the symptoms associated with diseases, as well as the diseases themselves, to the disruption of the body's energy flow. The discovery of meridian tapping techniques, in the early 1990's, has changed the world of medicine forever.
The innovative implementation of tapping with the fingertips, upon strategic meridian points on the body, while simultaneously holding focused mental attention upon an emotion, issue or symptom you wish to heal, has repeatedly garnered amazing results. The early pioneers in meridian tapping discovered that tapping on the meridians was just as effective as the insertion of an acupuncture needle!
Tapping restores balance to the flow of energy by neutralizing or collapsing the damaging effects that negativity inflicts upon the human body. Once the body's energy is balanced... the pain, discomfort, symptoms and stress subside... often within minutes!
I know that sounds impossible! And now would be a good time to suspend your disbelief, yet again. The truth of the matter is, 'tapping' works for a plethora of symptoms, conditions, emotions, and diseases. Practitioners of this self-healing genre have assisted people, of all ages, with their migraines, back pain, weight loss, insomnia, fears & phobias, stress management, post traumatic stress disorder, emotional wounds from mental, physical and sexual abuse, anger management, temper tantrums and fear of public speaking, just to name a few.
Professionals that work in the energy meridian genre often say, "You can try it on everything." We say that, because you can! We have firsthand knowledge and experience with the thousands (if not millions) of people before you, that have tried 'tapping' on everything imaginable. Most of whom are blown away by how well and rapidly EMT works!
What tapping practitioners tend to love most about this self-healing modality is that we can teach it to anyone interesting in and willing to learn how to do it. You can learn the basics of this technique in about 10 minutes. Once you learn it, then you are equipped with a tool to help you manage your day-to-day life... for the rest of your life! How cool is that? All you have to do is remember to use it in order to tame your stress, improve your health, and create more joy.
Energy Meridian Tapping (EMT) must be experienced in order to be appreciated! So before you discount it as being unbelievable or too good to be true, I encourage you to give it a try. If you're dealing with a health issue that has not responded well to conventional medical treatment, do yourself a favor and seek out an energy meridian tapping professional, today! There are physicians, psychologists, holistic practitioners, coaches, hypnotherapists and layman, worldwide, that incorporate 'tapping' into their practices and lives. Everyone can learn to unleash the healing in their fingertips, one tapping session at a time! How about You?

When Positive Thinking Isn't Enough

For decades there have been a lot books published on the power of positive thinking. Put simply, if you change your thought patterns to more positive qualities then your life will change for the better; by repeating positive affirmations on a consistent basis things will eventually shift.
These books and experts don't explain the loopholes that make this relatively simple way of thinking and acting flawed. This is not to say that the role of positive thinking doesn't have a place and that it can completely transform a situation. It's just that the first step has been overlooked.
All of the core negative components that orbit around the desired positive outcome need to be worked on first. As the layers of core negative beliefs unfold, the smaller difficulties fall away, leaving room for the desired positive results to come to fruition.
Here are some of the factors as to why positive thoughts/affirmations refuse to manifest:
The Underlying Unconscious Mind
The unconscious contains all the thoughts and beliefs that we are not aware of. Even though we may want to be in a long-term relationship, there is a part of the unconscious mind that may be sabotaging that.
A positive affirmation is repeatedly stated and is derailed by the unconscious mind. A good test is to state an outrageous positive affirmation such as "I make five trillion dollars a year with ease" and see how you feel after you say it. If it doesn't seem credible then it probably isn't. However even the things that we do truly want, that are genuinely attainable, can have undercurrents that anchor us from moving forward in the direction we want to go.
Habitual Patterns
Our family systems and socialization through schooling and other activities provide us with key ways in which we view the world. Through these interactions we discover how we are a blend of personality, ego, genetics and learned behavior to name a few.
Habitual patterns can be both positive and negative. Say there is a belief in your family that you can't get through life without a spouse, that you will become isolated and lonely. From that inherent belief you may force your intimate relationships to be your only solace and foundation. You may stay in long-term relationships that aren't necessarily nurturing or loving so that you aren't alone. This pattern can extend to staying in a job that is below you skill level or maintaining friendships that never go beyond surface level conversations.
Cellular Memory
Humans will always be superior to any external technology that is developed. We are able to track everything that has ever occurred to us on a cellular level. While we may not be able to recall everything through our memory, our cells sift and organize all that information. So if an event or situation contains data that works against our highest good, it can cause us to make choices that subvert what would truly be good for us in the long run.
Our cells don't see a difference between good and bad. They simply work with what is there and provide layers of specific data that show why we operate the way we do.
Using EFT to Get Underneath Negative Aspects
Now to the healing and balancing of these three areas. There are many ways to help clear the system of unconscious rhetoric, habitual patterns and difficulties that cause pain on a cellular level. One way is using Emotional Freedom techniques (EFT). EFT has been incredible in the transformation of these negative qualities.
By stating a specific negative experience/ emotion/ difficulty in relation to the fact that you still love and accept yourself despite this obstacle you create room for the imbalance to transform. While tapping on points that go directly to the unconscious mind, you open the pathways of the energy system to be rebalanced.
The more specific you are the more EFT deals directly with the core source of the negative issues. You open to understanding why these negative influences created roadblocks to what you truly want and desire in your life. Once the emotional charge of the negative influence are balanced out then the positive affirmation can be instilled.
This way the positive desire won't have to rub up against the unconscious patterns that consistently say the direct opposite of your true wish. The ego can stop fighting to protect that which no longer needs protection and your essence can come forward to connect with your highest purpose with ease.

Why We Need Meditation - How Vedic Meditation Leads to Happiness

If I asked "Why do we need to take showers?" the answer would probably be something about keeping good bodily hygiene. Well, the answer to "Why do we need to meditate?" would be very similar in nature. Simply put, meditating helps one keep good mental and spiritual hygiene.
It's frowned upon in our society to go out into public reaking of bacterial odors. Why? Partly because its really hard to focus when the person next to you smells like they've never taken a shower before. People will turn in the other direction and run from the person who smells of perpetual body odor, making it hard for the "stinker" to survive. How does one even buy a meal when the cashier can't stand in front of them long enough to ring up the order?
Albeit this example is a little derived, it stands to highlight the fact that people's "stinky attitudes" can have the same effect. If one doesn't regularly clean their mind out from the pollution of violence and hatred in our daily imagery, then that person's thoughts, words, and actions will reak of this toxicity too. This brings to mind a wise Toaist saying:
"Watch what you think for they become your words. Watch what you say for they become your actions. Watch your actions as they become your habits. Watch your habits as they become your fate."
I interpret this to mean, simply, that thoughts lead to words that, in turn, lead to actions. Every action has a consequence. So If the chain reaction is supported by positive thoughts, doesn't it make sense that it will have a positive consequence?
There is a strong correlation between the quality of your thoughts and the quality of what you get from life. The more positive your thinking is, the more positive your outcomes will be; and the more consistently you do it, the greater the effect is too!
We can practice meditation to clear out all the negative, enthusiasm-killing, thoughts in our mind and replace them with positive, uplifting, and energizing thoughts. Then there is no limit to the amount of happiness for us to have! Meditate and Be Happy!
Over the past 40 years, Dr. Mahapatra has taught Vedic Meditation and it's many advanced techniques to tens of thousands of students. He has been fortunate enough to teach along side some of the Holiest Saints in India, including Maharishi, Trigunaji, and Dwivedji, as well as many other Vedic and Aryuvedic Scholars like Deepak Chopra and Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar.

Whiten My Teeth - Various Tips

When it comes to teeth whitening, there are of course a number of ways to go about doing it. When trying to whiten my teeth I usually go with the most popular options, and those options usually get the job done. Well, at least one of the options does, as I don't try every single one of them simultaneously. So let's have a look at the different methods available to whiten my teeth!
First of all there is gel bleaching. There are two types, high concentration gel bleaching and low concentration bleaching. You can either do this at home or you can visit the dentist. It will be much cheaper to do it at home however, which is how I would choose to whiten my teeth. Application trays are filled with the gel and then applied to the teeth. The procedure takes approximately twenty minutes and then the trays are removed. After that the procedure is repeated about two more times until the teeth show signs of whitening.
Bleaching is also something I have used to whiten my teeth. The only problem with bleaching is that it only works under certain conditions. If you have gray teeth, or stains on your teeth, then the bleaching will more than likely fail. Bleaching would only whiten my teeth if they were simply yellow and discolored.
If you want to go high tech, laser bleaching is always an option. It is a way to speed up the bleaching process, and there are many different types of energy that can be used. Make sure that your dentist is using an argon laser instead of an arc lamp because the argon laser does not emit UV rays. The best part about laser bleaching is that you won't end up with any chemical burns in the way that you would with gel bleaching. This procedure can normally be completed within one hour, though it might take more if your teeth are in very bad shape.
Whitening strips are the next most popular choice out there. These are adhesive strips that you would apply to your teeth, and they perform the same job as a tooth bleaching would. These do not color the outside of the teeth, instead they focus on the enamel within. The outer coat of your teeth is transparent, and the interior enamel is what really matters. While working with the exterior of the tooth wouldn't really help, a more permanent change can be affected with the right white strips.
Keeping your teeth healthy is important, and keeping them the right color will help you to feel more confident in public. Believe me, I always feel a lot better when I whiten my teeth! So give it a try today and see how it goes!

How to Control Asthma in Children

There is no known reason as to why a child may have asthma although there are risked factors associated with who may have it. That is, if one or both parents have it, their child may have it as well. There is no known cure for this disease but there are medical treatments for it.
As with many medical conditions, when a child is faced with one, their parents and to a larger extent, their entire family, is affected by it and there is no difference here, however there is hope. A few things can be done to bring this condition under control and there are:
Education
Learn as much as you can about this disease. The more you understand it, the better a position you will be in to help your child. Search the Internet, visit the library and above all, talk to a trusted health care provider.
Avoiding Triggers
Triggers are things that cause the symptoms of this disease to appear. Therefore, helping ones child in keeping away from these triggers will be worth it. Some of these triggers are cold, smoke and stress.
Medical Management
If your child have prescribed medication, making sure that he/she knows how to use it correctly is the first step. There are two types of medication. They are Relievers and Controllers.
The Relievers are helpful in treating the symptoms of this disease, for example, if your child is wheezing and a Reliever medication is used, it will help to stop the wheezing.
The Controllers are used to treat the cause of the symptoms, for example, to keep wheezing from occurring. It should be noted that if a Controller medication is used when a symptom is occurring, it might not immediately stop the symptom, a Reliever medication should be used.
Make a Plan
Have a talk with your child's doctor and ask him/her to help you in preparing a plan that will help to bring the asthma under control.
This condition can limit a child's involvement in many things, that is, it can prevent them from participating in sporting events, but as it is brought under control, the list of don'ts will get shorter and the list of "can dos" will become longer.
So, before making any final decisions, do some more research, talk with a trusted doctor and then take some action.

All About Swine Flu : Symptoms, Precautions, Treatment..

Although the name 'swine flu' brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus has components of pig and bird influenza viruses in it, so that humans don't have any immunity to it. That is what made it more likely that it would become a pandemic virus (have the ability to cause a global outbreak) because it could easily spread from person-to-person.
The Swine flu has been compared to other similar types of influenza virus in terms of mortality: "in the US it appears that for every 1000 people who get infected, about 40 people need admission to hospital and about one person dies".

How Swine Flu Works
Swine Flu Symptoms -

 Swine Flu Precautions

Symptoms of swine flu infections can include:
* fever, which is usually high, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent
    * cough
    * runny nose or stuffy nose
    * sore throat
    * body aches
    * headache
    * chills
    * fatigue or tiredness, which can be extreme
    * diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu

Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.

Swine Flu High Risk Groups -

Swine flu high risk groups, people who are thought to be at risk for serious, life-threatening infections, are a little different and can include:

    * pregnant women
    * people with chronic medical problems, such as chronic lung disease, like asthma, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and immunosuppression
    * children and adults with obesity

Precautions to keep swine flu at bay -

Precautions
The deadly Swine Flu has reached the Indian shores following the global outbreak and now, claimed one life. However, Swine Flu is certainly one of those diseased where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Here are five tips for you to keep away from the pandemic.

1. Wash your hands frequently

Use the antibacterial soaps to cleanse your hands. Wash them often, for at least 15 seconds and rinse with running water.

2. Get enough sleep

Try to get 8 hours of good sleep every night to keep your immune system in top flu-fighting shape.

3. Drink sufficient water

Drink 8 to10 glasses of water each day to flush toxins from your system and maintain good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.

4. Boost your immune system

Keeping your body strong, nourished, and ready to fight infection is important in flu prevention. So stick with whole grains, colorful vegetables, and vitamin-rich fruits.

5. Keep informed

The government is taking necessary steps to prevent the pandemic and periodically release guidelines to keep the pandemic away. Please make sure to keep up to date on the information and act in a calm manner.

Treatment -

If a person becomes sick with swine flu, antiviral drugs can make the illness milder and make the patient feel better quicker. For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started soon after getting sick (within 2 days of symptoms). The U.S. CDC recommends the use of Tamiflu (oseltamivir) or Relenza (zanamivir) for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with swine influenza viruses; however, the majority of people infected with the virus make a full recovery without requiring medical attention or antiviral drugs.

Vaccination -

WHO does not expect the swine flu vaccine to be widely available until the end of 2009, noting that current production "yield" was only about half as much as expected and would cause timeline delays. There is also concern that countries which produce vaccines, 70 percent of which are in Europe, may delay sending swine flu vaccines to other countries as they may come under "tremendous pressure to protect their own citizens first," note some experts.

Many countries are planning full blown large scale vaccination camps by the end of the year.

3 Quick Tips to Help You Overcome the Fear of Flying

Wouldn't it be great if you had a list of the best ways you could quickly overcome the fear of flying?
Next time you are experiencing the crippling effects of a panic attack, try these three techniques for fast relief.
1. Abdominal Breathing
When we experience anxiety, we automatically switch to shallow chest breathing. Instead, spend three to five minutes breathing deeply into your abdomen. This will access your parasympathetic nervous system, and help you experience a sense of well being faster.
2. Use Affirmations
It's important to understand that even if affirmations did nothing else but occupy your mind, and by doing so not allow you to focus on any negative thoughts, they would still be an excellent method for coping with worry. Luckily, affirmations can do much more. Repeat your favorite affirmation for a minute or two, focus completely on saying the words and experiencing the relief that comes from it.
3. Distract Yourself
Use distractions like television, videos, your computer, or even a flashy magazine bought in the airport store. Our minds can focus on one thing at a time. Focus all of your attention on something besides your emotions or the sensation of anxiety. This will distract you, and help your stress pass without you getting caught up in it.
If you want to overcome the fear of flying, or any other type of anxiety or phobia, then you must be prepared with a list of actions you can immediately take to help you cope. These three techniques for overcoming your fear of flying might seem incredibly simple and basic, but they can work miracles if you simply give in and fully try them.
It's time for you to overcome the fear of flying!

Don't Let Acne Scars Become a Problem For You - Read the Best Home Acne Treatments Available Today

One of the most scary things going through the mind of acne sufferers is the scars that acne can leave behind. I was an Acne sufferer throughout all of my teenage life and am here to share with you some important things that I learnt, about home acne treatments, along the way.
Washing your face each day with soap and water is simply not enough. It is recommended that you cleanse your skin with a facial wash, then use a toner before moisturising your skin. There are many products in the supermarket that claim to help clear acne. You can even get stronger products which are available from the doctors, and I must have tried everything, but personally nothing helped very much.
There are a few Do's and Dont's to consider in your everyday routine. You should try to drink 2 litres of water per day to clear toxins, cleanse your pores and keep your skin hydrated. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables and try to have a good amount of fibre, all of which can help to relieve acne. Use a moisturiser on your skin, not can oil based one but preferably something containing aloe vera. Avoid oil and cream based foundations and try not to consume to many dairy products as this does not help acne sufferers.
Believe it or not, after years of suffering with acne, I found a guide on home acne treatments which helped me to clear up my acne within seven days, and thankfully I don't have any acne scars.

The Benefits of Using Aromatherapy in Massage Sessions

Essential oils have various healing properties and the massage therapist is knowledgeable in using the most suitable oils for the issue at hand. Usually before an aromatherapy massage session, the therapist has a short initial consultation with the person where he or she will be able to determine exactly the oils to be used for the massage. It is very important to use the right type of oils, because if a person needs calming down and relaxing, using oils that stimulate and excite the body and mind will not achieve the desired effects.
During a massage session, the touch of the therapist combined with the smell of the various pure oils will help bring the person to a perfectly detached and relaxed state of mind. The effects of the aromatherapy oils it two fold. First of all the oils are inhaled during the massage session, which fires a chemical message to the brain to trigger the desired emotional response (thus the importance of using the right type of oils during the session). Also the oils are said to work directly through the skin absorption. Although it is not scientifically confirmed, this theory is widely accepted by many aromatherapy massage practitioners who strongly believe that the skin absorbs the essential oils, bringing the body the immediate natural benefits of the plants.
When using essential oils in massage, it is important to always dilute them in carrier, neutral oils such as almond, peach and apricot, as the pure essential oils are too concentrated and will harm the body. Also pregnant women and people who have stomach pains should avoid having these sensitive areas of the body massages. And in case of cuts and bruises, they should not be reached by the essential oils.
Using aromatherapy oils in massage is a life-altering experience. It gives a holistic treatment to the entire person by calming the mind while resting the body. The immediate effects of an aromatherapy massage last for about 2 hours, however many people have reported a much calmer and relaxed response to stress and conflict for several days after a session.

No More Machines, Just Functional Training!

By a raise of your hands, how many of you complain of a bad back? How about knee pain? Shoulder pain? Painful feet? Abdominal pain? Now, raise those hands again if you go to the gym, maybe use a treadmill and then proceed to use machines for your workout... I bet a good amount of you that have pain said yes to using machines. You may be asking yourself, "I thought machines were good, and it's better then nothing." Well, I'm here to tell you that machine training can be exactly why you have a bad back or have knee pain. I'll explain.
As humans, our bodies are designed to move freely, in a functional pattern day in and day out. We move in 3 planes of motion everyday: The Sagittal Plane (in front of us), Frontal Plane (side to side), and Transverse Plane (rotation). We pick things up from the ground; we walk, run, grab things above us, play sports, pick up our kids and so on and so forth. Everyday we ask our bodies to do things that require us to be strong as a freely moving body. So, why on earth would we train our bodies in a gym sitting on a machine? Machines are a fixed piece of equipment. They assist us to move in one plane of motion. Let me say that again, one plane of motion.
These names may be very familiar to you; the Pec Dec (when do we every sit in a chair and push out to work our chest), the Quad Extension and Flexion machines (again, sitting and strengthening our quads or laying on your stomach and strengthening your hamstrings), how is this in any way a movement that we do everyday. How about this one, the glut extension machine... I know so many ladies that think pushing a weight behind you will get rid of that extra something on your butt. When do YOU ever perform that movement in a day to day activity?
Many of you are probably thinking, "This goes against everything I have ever heard about working out". Well, wake up and smell the coffee! We live in an age where the term "Functional Training" is everywhere. Here is the definition of what this term means; Functional training is a classification of exercise which involves training the body for the activities performed in daily life.
Using a machine does not allow the body to properly prepare itself for the daily activities of life. How on earth can you learn to squat down or bend over and pick something up by sitting in a machine and extended your leg. How will your flexibility and your posture ever improve to the point of performing an athletic movement on the softball field if you use a machine to do a row? The simple answers to these questions are they can't... So, get off those machines, get your body moving in a way where YOU can actually move! We do enough sitting every day at our desks, working on the computers, sitting on the couches. Inactivity is everywhere. Let's utilize what we have and allow our bodies to get strong in movements that mimic our everyday activities. This way, you can improve your CORE strength, posture, flexibility and get rid of those aches and pains that come with not moving.
So, in our next article on Functional Training, we will go over the various exercises that you can do that will allow your body to move and be strong. Thanks for your time. Now, get up and move around, your body will thank you!

5 Mistakes People Make Using a Gain Weight Fast Diet

When it comes to putting on some pounds and saying goodbye to that skinny physique forever, a gain weight fast diet is needed in order to ensure it is done correctly. With any good diet however, comes a variety of mistakes that people can make on their road to success. Below are five common mistakes that people make when they are trying to go on a diet to gain weight quickly.
1. They Don't Understand How to Use Vitamins Effectively
Vitamins can help with almost any condition under the sun, but unfortunately most people do not know how to make them work effectively when they want to gain weight. Some go all out and take every kind of vitamin there is in the hopes of becoming stronger. Others steer clear of them completely and do not reap any of the benefits. Vitamin B and B-2 are the only two vitamins that will specifically help with a diet to gain weight, as they allow your body to turn food into useful energy more easily.
2. Don't Change Their Diet
Another common mistake that some people make when trying to gain weight is to keep their diet the same, and just use exercise to build muscle. Most do this so that they do not risk losing weight with dietary changes, but without a weight gaining diet, there is no chance of packing on some extra pounds.
3. Not Eating After They Workout
Most individuals neglect to nourish their body after a workout. They do not realize that exercise breaks down your muscles and in order for them to repair themselves and grow back stronger, a healthy snack is needed after a workout to kick start the healing process.
4. Eating an Insufficient Amount of Protein
If you are on a gain weight fast diet, it is important that you get an adequate amount of protein. In order to build muscle you must have proteins. If you fail to eat protein, then your body will be more likely to turn food into fat than muscle.
5. Thinking Only of Their Diet
Some people do nothing but obsess about their weight gaining diet, while neglecting exercise altogether. However, without a muscle building workout routine, your weight gaining diet will only create fat and not muscles.

How to Lose Stomach Fat Fast Without a Single Crunch?

If you have ever wanted to lose stomach fat and have done crunches, sit-ups and done hours upon hours of cardio, but still haven't seen any life changing results, this will be the most important article you'll read this year. Why? Because I'll show you exactly why doing crunches, situps and running for hours is the worst thing you can do to lose stomach fat!
The wrong way to lose stomach fat is to think that you can "spot reduce" your fat from the stomach only... That's a BIG misconception and makes thousands of people never reach their fat loss goals in a timely fashion. So what can you do in order to solve this problem?
The answer is simple! There is no quick or fast solution, only steady fat loss. Since you will need to lose body fat all over the body, and that in turn will also burn fat around the stomach, your best exercise plan is to work the biggest muscles in your body, that will need the most energy (calories) to work. So the best muscles to work out in order to lose stomach fat is actually your legs, arms, and chest, as well as your back... because these are the biggest muscles and increase your metabolism when stimulated.
So how do we stimulate these muscles? Is not running stimulating these muscles you might ask? Yes, but the problem with running for a long period of time is that you also burn muscle, not only fat. You want as much lean muscle as possible. That's why marathon runners are so skinny, but lean. They burn fat, but also muscle. Look at 100 m dash runners, they have more muscle, so what do they do differently?
They are doing high intense interval training or sprints. This will help stimulate extreme fat loss and also boost your metabolism. This also helps stimulate the muscles and create an effective after burn.
Another important factor for burning abdominal fat is to lift some weights, by alternating exercises, such as squats, and push-ups. Alternate these exercises 2-3 times without resting. That is called a superset and is an extremely effective way to boost your fat burning machine.
The last component to losing belly fat is you diet. If you are eating fat burning foods that take up a lot of energy to burn, but also provide the body with the nutrients it needs, you are doing GREAT! The only hard part is to know what these are, but there are experts who know exactly what they are.
Some can be, brown rice, broccoli, spinach, oatmeal, lean meats and eggs.

What Are the Symptoms of Hemorrhoids and Do You Have Them?

This article will outline what are the symptoms of hemorrhoids. In this way you can determine whether you have them or at least give you a better picture of the condition and the likely progression it can take. Having said this, always check with you health care professional as some of the classic symptoms of hemorrhoids are similar to other problems, and despite the pain you may be feeling as a result of piles right now are far more serious to your overall health.
The three classic symptoms are itching, pain and bleeding. You may have one or all of these symptoms so I will explain how and why they occur. This will give you a better idea on the type of piles you have and what you can do about them.
These three symptoms can happen all together or at different times. One may follow the others. Generally I would say that bleeding may be the first symptom, then itching and pain closely followed.
Bleeding will happen when you are passing a bowel movement. This is because the inflammation around the  swollen blood vessels has been perforated by pressure from the stool causing blood to flow down into the anus. In most cases like this there will be no pain associated with the blood loss because the hemorrhoid has developed on tissue that does not send pain signals to the brain.
Itching may follow bleeding and indicates that the pile is becoming larger and is unlikely to shrink beck into the rest of the anal canal. Itching is caused by the anal mucus that gets secreted by the body as a way to deal with the piles. It can cause itching at the anus or further into the rectum.
Pain can result if the hemorrhoids have developed on tissue or skin that does sense pain and sends this signal to the brain. This may indicate that the hemorrhoid is getting larger and is not likely to heal up of it's own accord without medical intervention in the form of medication or even surgery in some cases.
For instance, in the case of thrombosed external hemorrhoids the symptoms can be extreme pain when sitting down. Quite often they will require a special procedure such as rubber band ligation to treat effectively.

How to Make Your Back Feel Better

This part of the human body probably hurts more people around the world than any other part of the body. What is it? Your back. People complain about back pain all the time. Whether it be the upper back or the most common place for the pain to be, The lower back. Lower back pain is probably what most people experience.
Why do most people experience lower back pain? Because their stomach muscles are weak. The stomach muscles provide a foundation. The stronger the foundation, or the core as most doctors and chiropractors call it, the less back pain you will have.
If your core is not strong, your back will get strained. If your core is strong, the chances of hurting your back are much less.
Once you hurt your back, expect it to be prone to injury much more easily the next time. It will also take a while for you to heal as the your spine has a really crappy blood supply to it.
One of the best things you can do to avoid injuring your back is to make sure that your abdominal muscles are strong! This providing support and a great foundation for your back. And you might want to consider getting rid of that extra weight around your gut too. All that extra weight is constantly pulling you forward. Your back is continuously having to work to keep you straight. You should also make sure that good posture is there too. Those three things, a weak core, extra weight pulling you forward and bad posture, will give you a sore back or worse.

'Klotho Gene' May Just Do The Trick

Scientists from University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Centre have got some good news. Now, according to the researchers, an anti-aging gene might play a critical role in regulation of high blood pressure.

Aniti aging gene

In all these days, persistent high blood pressure
has been a risk factor for stroke, heart attack, heart failure, arterial aneurysm and is the leading cause of chronic kidney failure. But now, says the researchers, that an anti-aging gene called klotho can be manipulated to regulate hypertension
and also reverse kidney damage.

The research team showed that by increasing the expression of the gene in laboratory models, they not only stopped blood pressure from continuing to rise, but succeeded in lowering it and reverse kidney damage completely. Sun reports: "One single injection of the klotho gene can reduce hypertension for at least 12 weeks and possibly longer." It added: "Klotho is also available as a protein and, conceivably, we could ingest it as a powder much like we do with protein drinks."

It has been found that, with age, the klotho level decreases while the prevalence of hypertension increases. During the study, researchers had also used one injection of the klotho gene in hypertensive research models and were able to markedly reduce blood pressure by the second week.

It continued to decline steadily for 12 weeks. The klotho gene was delivered with a safe viral vector that is currently used for gene therapy.

Body Treatments

Body treatments are meant to cleanse moisturize the body skin. Regular massages and gentle strokes help to revitalize the body, reduce stress, increase blood circulation and treat many ailments like strengthening the immune system and muscles. We will discuss here techniques for a full body massage and essential oils to be used for the purpose:
  • Experts who can advise you on personalized methods according to your body type should handle first massage.
  • Use slow and rhythmic movement for massages at home but do not try to treat the aching areas yourself and take professional help instead.
  • Acupressure is quiet good for relieving muscle pains and tightness. You can learn it and use it at home too.
  • Aromatherapy uses essential oils to massage the body that enhance body's healing potential. These oils can be blended to suit your body type and condition to rejuvenate it or treat headaches, migraines and colds along with many other illnesses.
  • For good body care, combine body treatments with regular massages, aerobics and skin care essentials such as deodorants and liquid soaps.

How to Care for Dry Skin

Dry skin has a low level of sebum and can be prone to sensitivity. The skin has a parched look caused by its inability to retain moisture. It usually feels "tight" and uncomfortable after washing unless some type of moisturizer or skin cream is applied. Chapping and cracking are signs of extremely dry, dehydrated skin.
Dryness is exacerbated by wind, extremes of temperature and air-conditioning, all of which cause the skin to flake, chap and feel tight. This type of skin is tightly drawn over bones. It looks dull, especially on the cheeks and around the eyes. There may be tiny expression lines on these spots and at the comers of the mouth.

5 Practical Tips on Dry Skin Care …

Causes

  • The oil glands do not supply enough lubrication to the skin. As a result, the skin becomes dehydrated.

  • Skin gets exposed to the elements especially in winter.

  • Dry skin could be due to a genetic condition.

  • Poor diet. Nutritional deficiencies, especially deficiencies of vitamin A and the B vitamins, can also contribute to dry skin.

  • Environmental factors such as exposure to sun, wind, cold, chemicals, or cosmetics, or excessive bathing with harsh soaps.

  • Conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or seborrhea.

  • Dry Skin Could Also Be From:

Dry skin can be a sign of an underactive thyroid.

Serious skin complications can arise for people with diabetes.

Certain drugs, including diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines, can contribute to dry skin.

How To Care for Dry Skin

Avoid the use of tap water when cleansing dry skin. The deposits are too drying on the skin. And never, ever use hot water. Use mineral water to freshen your face. Don't use a washcloth-a rough texture can irritate. In the morning, apply a spray of mineral water on your skin misted on with a plant sprayer. (Do not use a sprayer that had been used for spraying insecticides.) Lightly pat dry.
Dry skin needs plenty of thorough but gentle cleansing, regular stimulation with massage and generous quantities of oil and moisture. It also needs extra careful protection. Washing dry skin with soap and water not only removes grime but also the natural oils protecting the skin. A moisturizer increases the water content of the outer layers of the skin and gives it a soft, moist look.
Use nondetergent, neutral-pH products to cleanse your skin. Avoid using any commercial soap. And always touch your face gently. Double-cleanse with a cream, leaving a light, thin trace of it on the skin after the second cleansing.
Follow a bath or a shower with a mild application of baby oil. Massage your face with home-made nourishing cream every night before retiring. Be generous with the cream in the areas surrounding the eyes where tiny lines and crows feet are born.
Avoid coming in contact with highly alkaline soaps and detergents like washing sodas and powders which contain highly alkaline and drying ingredients.
Moistening with water, then applying a thin film of air-excluding moisturizer, restores the suppleness of the dry skin.
Morning Skin Cleanser/Rejuvenator
Every morning 15 minutes before taking your bath
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon orange juice
1 teaspoon olive oil and
few drops of rose water
few drops of lime juice
Mix the above ingredients together and apply on your skin.
Beauty Mask for Dry Skin
1 egg
1 teaspoon of honey,
1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and
few drops of rose water
Mix the ingredients thoroughly and use as a mask.
Night Moisturizing
After you clean and tone your skin, apply a splash of water or a water-misting. Pat almost dry with a soft towel, then smooth moisturizer from bosom to hairline. Allow five minutes for immediate absorption (cover your face and throat with warm washcloths to hasten penetration), then blot off any excess moisturizer with a tissue.
Men can skip the toner but should moisturize the delicate skin around the eye area.
Day Moisturizing
Apply a touch of your natural moisturizer over the freshly cleansed, toned, and dampened skin on your throat, cheeks, and around your eyes. Men should follow a two-step process. Apply moisturizer immediately after shaving. Wait ten minutes. Then moisturize again.
Milk Bath
Once a week take a milk bath. It will nourish and smoothen your skin. Warm your bath water and put in 250 gram of powdered milk, half tablespoon of almond oil and a few drops of your favorite perfume. Then just lie in it and let your mind wander while the wholesome foam works wonders on your dry skin.
If your lips chap, peel or crack then the best remedy is to massage them with a little cream of milk to which a few drops each of rose water and lime juice has been added every night before going to bed. Before applying lipstick, use a soft piece of towel for removing rough bits of chapped skin and rub a piece of raw beetroot gently on them. After applying lipstick add a little vaseline to keep your lips soft and pretty.
Moisturize your skin after cleansing to keep it from drying out. Use a liquid moisturizer or facial oil that contains nutrients and other natural ingredients. Avoid solid, waxy moisturizing creams.
Use a humidifier (or even a pan of water placed near a radiator) to humidify your environment, especially in winter. This helps to reduce the amount of moisture lost from the skin through evaporation.
Stay out of overheated rooms; avoid sudden changes in temperature; protect yourself from wind and sun. Remember, your face is fragile.
If you don't have a good, strong moisturizer on your face on a cold, windy winter day, don't go out! Cold will cause any moisture on your skin to evaporate. The wind will just accelerate the process.
At night, use a very creamy cleanser or oil (baby oil is perfectly all right). Remove residue with a spray of mineral water. Follow up with a night cream applied at least a half-hour before retiring. If you lie down immediately after applying cream, it will "puff-up" delicate tissues around the eyes.
Once a week, use a facial mask to clarify the skin and remove dull, dry surface skin cells. Blend together well 1 teaspoon green clay powder and 1 teaspoon raw honey. Apply the mixture to your face, avoiding the eye area. Leave it on for fifteen minutes, then rinse well with lukewarm water. While your skin is still slightly damp, apply a natural skin oil or liquid moisturizer.
If your skin is chapped or cracked, increase your consumption of water and essential fatty acids. Keep any chapped areas well lubricated and protected from the elements.
For cracked, dry skin on the fingers, use calendula cream or oil with comfrey, vitamin E oil, and aloe vera. Apply the mixture to hands at bedtime, then wear plastic gloves overnight.
Do not smoke. Smoking has a harmful effect on the skin for several reasons. Nicotine constricts the blood vessels, including the tiny capillaries that serve the skin. This deprives the skin of the oxygen and nutrients it needs for good health. Smoking also can make the skin dry and leathery.
Do not use harsh soaps, cold cream, or cleansing creams on your skin. Cleansing creams are made from hydrogenated oils, which can cause free radical damage to the skin, resulting in dryness and wrinkles. Instead, use pure olive, avocado, or almond oil to cleanse the skin. Pat the oil on, then wash it off with warm water and a soft cloth.
Do not use very hot water when bathing or showering.
As much as possible, stay out of the sun. The sun is responsible for most of the damage done to the skin. It causes dryness, wrinkles, and even rashes and blisters. Always apply a good sunscreen to all exposed areas of skin if you must be in the sun.

Herbs for Dry Skin

Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is soothing, healing, and moisturizing. It also helps to remove dead skin cells. Apply aloe vera gel topically on affected areas.
Calendula and comfrey have skin-softening properties. They can be used in a facial sauna or to make herbal or floral waters. Comfrey also reduces redness and soothes irritated skin.
Add 5 drops of lavender oil or oat extract to bath water. After the bath, apply diluted evening primrose oil or aloe vera cream.
Drink teas of camomile, dandelion or peppermint.
Borage, fennel, coltsfoot or calendula tea also helps improve the skin. Add 1 tsp. of herbs to 1 cup of boiling water and drink daily.
Tea tree oil has been known to penetrate into the skin's cellular level. Add 1 drop of oil to your favorite day or night cream to help moisturize and smooth skin.
Herbal Facial Sauna
A weekly facial sauna using the herbs chamomile, lavender, and peppermint is good for dry skin.
Using a glass or enameled pot, simmer a total of 2 to 4 tablespoons of dried or fresh herbs in 2 quarts of water. When the pot is steaming, place it on top of a trivet or thick potholder on a table, and sit with your face at a comfortable distance over the steam for fifteen minutes. You can use a towel to trap the steam if you wish.
After fifteen minutes, splash your face with cold water and allow your skin to air dry or pat it dry with a towel. Then either apply a good natural moisturizer or facial oil, or apply a clay mask.
After the sauna, you can allow the herbal water to cool and save it for use as a toning lotion to be dabbed on your face with a cotton ball after cleansing.

Diet Recommendations for Dry Skin

  • Eat a balanced diet that includes vegetables, fruits, grains, seeds, and nuts. Eat quality protein from vegetable sources. Increase your intake of raw foods.

  • Eat foods such as garlic, onions, eggs, and asparagus that are high in sulfur, which helps to keep the skin smooth and youthful.

  • Consume plenty of yellow and orange vegetables. These are high in beta-carotene, an antioxidant. Carrots are especially good.

  • Unrefined, cold-pressed flax seed oil used daily on salads and baked potatoes, or mixed into any dishes which do not require heating to high temperatures will make dry skin moist and supple. Flax seed oil contains the essential fatty acids omega-3 alpha linolenic acid and omega-6 linoleic acid. These are converted in the body into hormone, like substances called Prostaglandins, which support skin health.

  • Cantaloupes, carrots and apricots are heating foods for dry skin because they are rich in the vitamins A and C, both important for a supple, smooth skin. Eat them whole or take as fresh juices. Eat foods rich in pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), such as quark, raw. milk cheese, natural plain yogurt, kefir, leafy green vegetables, nutritional yeast and wheat germ. Pantothenic acid is need for the synthesis of fats and oils used by the skin.

  • Drink at least 2 quarts of quality water every day to keep the skin well hydrated.

  • Avoid fried foods, animal fats, and heat-processed vegetable oils. Use cold- pressed oils only. Heating oils leads to the production of free radicals, which have a destructive effect on the skin.

  • Do not drink soft drinks or eat sugar, chocolate, potato chips, or other junk foods.

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine. These substances have a diuretic effect, causing the body and skin cells to lose fluids and essential minerals.

3 Tips to Get Rid of Bad Breath - Have Sweet Smelling Breath at All Times

Bad breath otherwise known as halitosis is a common problem among a lot of people. The sad thing about it, is that most people have it and don't know. This is due to the fact that it is more difficult to smell your own breath than others. Can you imagine speaking to someone and they have to be holding their breath just so they don't smell yours? That can be very embarrassing and so you need to follow the tips below to learn how to get rid of bad breath.

1. One of the major causes of halitosis is due to some types of food that you eat. For example, garlic, onions and some other foods can leave a real terrible odor in your mouth. Therefore to get rid of bad breath it is best to avoid these types of foods.

2. Though it is recommended to brush your teeth after every meal, we know that this can be an impossible feat to achieve. However, you should try to brush your teeth at least twice per day to remove plaque and bacteria that will build up in your mouth to give you bad breath.

3. Another thing you can do is to use a mouth wash as well as floss. Brushing is good, but brushing alone will not get out all the food particles that may accumulate thus giving your mouth an odor. If you have terrible halitosis, try to get a mouth wash that has a sweet smell. Preferably a mint flavor.

How to Tell If Someone is Lying to You

We have all said a lie at least one time during our life. It's likewise safe to say that somebody has told you a lie too. When we figure it out, the result is that we feel the pain of betrayal. Interestingly, there are ways to detect lies.
Here are several things to watch out for:
1. Observe body language. Hints that a person could be lying are fidgeting, playing with the hair, or wringing the hands. This isn't a foolproof way though since it could just be that the individual is shy or uneasy.
2. A good indication is when a person crosses the arms across the body or places a barrier in between. Examples of these barriers are bags, cups, or books.
3. A person who lies usually avoids engaging in prolonged eye contact. When you try to look him or her in the eye, they will fidget and will instead stare at insignificant things such as the walls or the ceiling.
4. One of the most obvious giveaways is discrepancy in their stories. A liar can’t possibly keep up with all the lies being told. He or she will mess up the details in some way.
5. Look for the tiny details. If they only speak in general terms and avoid providing specific names or places, it’s a good bet that they’re lying.
6. Are they speaking in a higher pitch or lower pitch than usual? When people lie, the tone of voice changes.
7. Look for actions that could be construed as hesitating. If they clear their voice, breathe deeply, or take a pregnant pause before speaking, chances are the next sentence that comes out is a lie.
8. Observe their eye movement. While the person is conversing, watch where they eyes are looking at. If it’s towards the right, they are searching through their memory for their response. If they look towards the left, it could be that they're already fabricating lies.
9. A common sign that a person is lying is when he or she changes the topic. When an individual abruptly switches to a different topic that is so out of line with what you were talking about, it is indeed suspicious.
10. Another type of behavior that’s suspicious is when the person avoids the use of pronouns like “we” or “I.” Liars frequently use sarcasm or humor in order to veer away from a subject.
11. Some liars do feel guilt and when their back is up on the wall, they will express anger and may even storm off.
12. Someone who touches his or her nose frequently could be lying. So does a person who’s sweating excessively, breathing heavily, or someone whose jaw is tight all of a sudden.
13. If you interrogate these liars, they will not recall the details of their lie. They will also do anything to avert detection. Most of them show a burst of anger or they leave the scene.
14. A person who's getting uncomfortable because of the lie he or she is presently saying commonly touches the face frequently. The higher the part of the face is that the person is touching, the more extensive the lie is.
15. When you’re confident of what you’re saying, you would be sitting up straight. A person who’s hunched over especially with the hands inside the pockets are showing their insecurity. There are studies to support that this type of posture is suggestive of an individual who has a disposition to lie.
If you have a child and you find out that he or she has picked up the habit of deceptive lying, do whatever you can to put a stop to it. Study shows that the habit could start at around five years old. With these tips, you can quickly detect a liar and never have to fall for their tricks.
